Pick up of passengers from the hotel. We will start our trip visiting the Convent and Museum of La Recoleta, where you will appreciate eleven sectors, two of Pre-Columbian Art and another two dedicated to the Amazon Forests. There is also a room of Religious Art and a Pinacoteca (Art Gallery), considered one of the biggest in the city, with a great collection of canvases from the Cusqueña and Arequipeña Schools of Painting. We will continue to the Tristán del Pozo house, a colonial house with its carved front in a mixed native-Baroque style. It has wide and characteristic patios on its inside. Built in 1738 for General Domingo Tristán del Pozo. It is now owned by Banco Continental. Then we will go to the Casa del Moral, typical house of the XVIII century, one of the oldest monuments with its main entrance made in sillar. It is a work of art where you can appreciate figures carefully carved. We shall finish this circuit with the visit to the Museum Santuarios Andinos (Andean Sanctuary) of University Católica Santa María, where you would appreciate different pieces in ceramics and textiles, as well as the famous Dama del Ampato (Lady of Ampato). It is an Inca mummy of a teenage girl of 12 or 14 years old who was sacrificed and found at the top of the volcano Ampato in 1995. According to specialists the girl, whose remains were found frozen, was sacrificed with a strong blow on her temple with a "macana" made of granite stone, as an offering to the Apu (Inca divinity). The mummy is about 500 years old. This visit includes the view of a video, representing the ceremony of offering a human life to the Apu Ampato. This ceremony is called "Capaccocha".
